Vivace RFTM Microneedling Aftercare
- Avoid Retinoid Products, and glycolic acid products 1 week prior to appointment
- Notify your doctor if you have a history of cold sores. The doctor will pre-treat you with a medication called Valacyclovir to prevent any outbreaks
- Avoid direct sun to the treated area 10-14 days prior to treatment
- It is preferred that you show up to your appointment clean-faced without makeup, moisturizers, or lotions on the date of the treatment
- Please notify us if you have a history of keloid scarring, metal or skin allergies, or if you have been on Accutane within the past 6 months
- Please come to your appointment with clean skin- Remove all makeup, creams and lotions
- Please dress so that you may comfortably and modestly expose the treatment area, when applicable
• Your clinician may apply the Soothe Weekly Mask immediately after your Vivace Experience™, or you may apply the mask for 20-30 minutes during the first four hours post-treatment for a soothing effect. Gently apply your Boost Glide Serum as needed throughout the day to ease skin tightness
• Before bed, gently cleanse your face with a mild cleanser. Use the remaining Boost Glide Serum to reduce any remaining discomfort. Continue a gentle cleansing routine for 3 days post-treatment
• Beginning the morning after your treatment, apply 4-5 drops of C E Ferulic® to clean, dry skin. Continue once daily in the morning until the product is depleted. You may apply makeup the day after your treatment using clean makeup brushes. Mineral-based makeup is recommended
• Resume your normal skin routine three days post-treatment, apply C E Ferulic® to clean dry skin every morning, before applying your other products or makeup. Avoid exfoliation or products containing retinol for seven to ten days post-treatment
Note: Your treatment provider may provide variable instructions for your post-recovery process. Please follow the direction of your skincare professional.
• Do not use additional skincare products during the first 24 hours following your treatment unless advised by your clinician
• Do not exercise or increase your heart rate 24 to 48 hours post-treatment
• Avoid all sun exposure for up to three days post treatment. Wear a hat and high SPF broad-spectrum sunscreen when outdoors
